April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child. This month, we proudly recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of our military-connected students. These children serve too, navigating schools, new friendships, and long periods of separation with courage and grace. To celebrate, we will participate in Spirit Week by dressing up from April 13th – 17th. Dress up days include: Monday (Branch Out) Dress in camo to represent the different branches of the military. Tuesday (Super Powers) Dress in superhero shirts, capes, or accessories. Wednesday (Stars & Sparkles) Dress in stars, sparkles, glitter, or red, white, and blue. Thursday (Around the World) Dress in clothes or colors representing another country or culture. Friday (Purple Up) Dress in purple from head to toe.

El mes de abril es reconocido como el Mes del Niño Militar. Este mes, reconocemos y celebramos con orgullo la fortaleza, la resiliencia y los sacrificios de nuestros estudiantes vinculados a las fuerzas armadas. Estos niños también prestan servicio, adaptándose a nuevas escuelas, forjando nuevas amistades y afrontando largos periodos de separación con valentía y entereza. Para celebrarlo, participaremos en la "Semana del Espíritu" (Spirit Week) vistiendo atuendos especiales del 13 al 17 de abril. Los días temáticos son los siguientes: Lunes ("Branch Out"): Vístanse de camuflaje para representar a las diferentes ramas de las fuerzas armadas. April is World Autism Awareness Month and April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day, a time to recognize and celebrate the unique strengths, perspectives and contributions of individuals with autism in our schools and community.

We are committed to creating inclusive environments where every student feels seen, supported and valued. This month is dedicated to increasing understanding, promoting acceptance and supporting individuals with autism.

We would like to thank and recognize our dedicated and incredible Specialists, Teachers, and Aides, along with related service providers, who support students with autism across Aiken County everyday. Your hearts, care and dedication have a lasting impact on the lives of our students and families.

A break for ACPSD is almost here!

All students will be out of school tomorrow, Thursday, March 26, for a scheduled Professional Development Day, as well as Friday, March 27, which was originally designated as a weather make-up day. As this make-up day is not needed, school will not be in session for students this Friday.
The Spring Intersession for Intervention and Enrichment is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 30 and will conclude on Thursday, April 2. Students attending Spring Intersession will attend next week, Monday-Thursday; students not attending Intersession will not attend school. Please visit the Intersession information on our website at www.acpsd.net/intersession, which includes district- and community-sponsored opportunities.
Please note that Friday, April 3, is a designated District Holiday, and all schools and offices will be closed. Schools and offices will also be closed the week of Spring Break, April 6-10.
All students and staff are scheduled to return to school and work on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Take a moment to enjoy our students' art work while visiting for awards day!

Our awards day ceremonies for the third nine weeks will take place on Wednesday, March 25th.

Ceremonies will take place in the cafeteria at the following times:

8:00 am Second Grade
8:25 am First Grade
8:50 am Third Grade
9:15 am Fourth Grade
9:40 am Fifth Grade

Please park on the elementary side of the campus only. You may park in the elementary parking lot or in the grassy areas on the elementary side of the campus. After 7:55 am, you may also park in the elementary car line loop. Please don’t park in front of the school. The front doors at the elementary office will be the only location you may enter. Due to students eating breakfast, you will not be able to enter prior to 7:50 am.

March 26th: Professional Development Day (No school for students)

March 27th: Weather Day (Wasn’t needed) (No school for students and most staff members)

March 30th: Spring Break begins

April 13th: Students return from Spring Break

Parent School Climate surveys are ready to be completed online. The survey can be found in the forms section of your Parent Portal account. Parents were also sent an email with a direct link to access the parent survey. The Parent survey will close on April 17th.

Las encuestas sobre el clima escolar dirigidas a los padres ya están disponibles para ser completadas en línea. La encuesta se encuentra en la sección de formularios de su cuenta del Portal para Padres. Asimismo, se envió un correo electrónico a los padres con un enlace directo para acceder a dicha encuesta. La encuesta para padres se cerrará el 17 de abril.
