HVFC is proud to see Baltimore County improve to an ISO 2/5 rating!
An ISO rating measures a community’s fire protection capabilities, including fire departments, water supply, and emergency communications. Better ratings can help improve fire protection and may even lower homeowners insurance premiums for some residents.
We especially want to recognize our members who serve on the Baltimore County Volunteer Water Resource Committee and the hard work they put in behind the scenes to help make this happen. Their dedication to improving rural water supply and fire protection directly benefits the communities we serve every day.
Great work by everyone involved across the county fire service!
We’re proud to announce that Baltimore County has earned an improved ISO Public Protection Classification, moving from a 3/6 rating to an impressive 2/5 rating thanks to initiatives implemented over the past several years! 🎊
This achievement reflects the strength of our fire protection capabilities and our continued commitment to serving the community at the highest level. Residents and businesses may also benefit through increased confidence in emergency services and the potential for lower insurance premiums.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our members, Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighters Association, Baltimore County Volunteer Water Resource Committee, Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation, and the 911 Center.
Thank you to everyone who played a role in making this possible!
