USCG Aux - Division 2 - Sandy Hook, NJ We are the volunteer uniformed branch of the U.S. Coast Guard. WHO WE ARE: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer uniformed component of the U.S.

This page is our showcase, sharing who we are, what we do, and how we support Coast Guard missions. Members serve in a wide range of roles including vessel safety checks, public education, marine patrols, communications, public affairs and community outreach. MISSION: Division 2, District 1 Southern Region supports recreational boating safety, public education, and operational support to the U.S.

USCG Auxiliary, Division 2, Sandy Hook, NJ, provided safety and logistical support to the New Jersey chapter of Heroes on the Water (HOW). More than 70 participants attended the event held at USCG Station Sandy Hook. HOW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free, therapeutic kayak fishing trips to veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families.
