Press Release for Monmouth County Shore Region Coordinated DWI Patrol:
Police departments within the Monmouth County Shore Regional Task Force will be conducting a coordinated DWI roving patrol along Ocean Avenue on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. During this time, there will be police officers from the shore region police departments specifically assigned to patrol for intoxicated drivers.
The participating agencies are as follows:
Sea Bright Police Department, Monmouth Beach Police Department, Long Branch Police Department, Deal Police Department, Allenhurst Police Department, Asbury Park Police Department, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
If you plan to go out for “thirsty Thursday”, be responsible, plan ahead, and get a designated driver. Enjoy the shore and make it home safe.
One choice can change everything; DWI costs more than you think.

Interested in getting your start in Law Enforcement?

The Monmouth Beach Police Department is currently hiring Class 2’s to be sent to the academy in January 2027. All interested candidates must pick up an application and all other paperwork at police headquarters, 14 Willow Ave Monmouth Beach.

We will be hosting a PT Test for all candidates on August 17th at 4:00pm at Griffin Street Park.

Final day complete✅

A big shout out to the Monmouth Beach First Aid Squad! These volunteers took time out of their day to teach our recruits how to help people in need and the importance of being a first responder.

They also learned how to write tickets and what type of violations to look for.

We want to applaud the 2nd MBPD Junior Academy graduating class!

Thank you all for your generosity and support for letting us have this academy for the second year in a row.
