At 6:30 AM on September 23rd, the MJFD was dispatched to Deans Rhode Hall Road for alarms sounding and smoke coming from a residence, reported by a neighbor. Chiefs 200 & 210 arrived to find smoke coming from the home and the first alarm was dispatched. Engine 208 arrived first and the crew located and extinguished a small fire inside the home, which was unoccupied and under renovation. Also responding were Engine 204 & Tower 201, Kendall Park Chiefs 220 & 230 and Ladder 223, and Kingston Chiefs 240 & 250 and Engine 245.

Around 5:30 PM on September 19th, the MJFD was dispatched to the playground on Quincy Circle for a juvenile with her hand stuck in the chain for a swing. Firefighters cut the chain to free the juvenile's finger.

Just before 9 AM on September 17th, the MJFD was dispatched to the area of The Grande on New Road for a reported dumpster fire. Chief 200 located a working dumpster fire in the Midway Station property off Ridge Road adjacent to the Amtrak North-East corridor rail line. The crew of Engine 204 extinguished the fire. Deputy Chief 210, SB EMS, and Fire Safety units responded.

Shortly after 5 PM on September 9th, the MJFD was dispatched to a residence on Monet Court for a smoke condition. Chiefs 200 & 210 arrived and confirmed a smoke condition on the first floor. Firefighters on Engine 204 arrived to help locate the source, which was determined to be a small electrical fire that self-extinguished inside the furnace in the basement. Crews isolated the power and advised the resident to call for service.

The month of August was one of the busiest in the 96-year history of the MJFD, responding to 73 calls for service.

Around 12:30 PM on August 30th, the MJFD was dispatched to the intersection of Friendship Road & New Road for a motor vehicle accident with extrication. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver of a passenger vehicle that struck a telephone pole. Rescue 205, Engine 204, & Support Unit 207 responded.

Around 8:20 AM on July 30th, the MJFD was dispatched to Liberty Drive in the Wetherhill Development for a truck fire. Deputy Chief 210 arrived to find a working engine compartment fire on a garbage truck. Firefighters from Engines 204 & 208 extinguished the fire.

Just before 4 PM on July 10th, the MJFD was dispatched to a residence on Fresh Ponds Road for a power line down. Chief 200 arrived to find a tree had fallen on the electric service for the home with a smoke condition coming from the roof line and requested the first alarm. Firefighters entered the residence and contained the fire to a portion of the attic in the rear of the home. Units responding included Engines 206 & 204, Tower 201, Support Unit 207 & Rescue 205, as well as the Kendall Park, Kingston & Brookview Fire Companies.

Around 12:30 AM on July 5th, the MJFD was dispatched to Shadow Oaks Court in the Royal Oaks development for a reported dumpster fire. Chief 200 arrived and confirmed a working dumpster fire with extension to a second dumpster. The fire was extinguished by the crew from Engine 204. Support 207, MJFAS & SBPD also responded.

At 11:30 AM on July 1st, the MJFD was dispatched to Cedar Court in the Whispering Woods development for a motor vehicle accident, car vs. building with entrapment and a natural gas line struck. Deputy Fire Official 302 arrived first and confirmed a passenger vehicle struck the building and a bank of natural gas meters causing a major leak, with all occupants out of the vehicle. Chief 200 established command on arrival and requested the first alarm. Arriving police officers and firefighters immediately began evacuating the building that was struck along with the 4 closest buildings. Firefighters prepared for a fire or explosion by connecting engines to two separate hydrants and stood-by until the arrival of PSE&G, who was able to stop the gas leak approximately 90 minutes after the accident occurred by digging down to reach the gas service. Units responding included Deputy Chief 210, Engines 204, 206 & 208, Kingston Chiefs 240 & 250, Engine 245, Rescue 242 & SS 246, and Kendall Park Chiefs 240 & 250 and Ladder 223.

Shortly before 11 AM on June 25th, the MJFD was dispatched to respond into Jamesburg for a smoke condition at a building on Forsgate Drive. Engine 204 responded and stood-by on scene to cover Jamesburg before being released by Command.

Just after 10 PM on June 22nd, the MJFD was dispatched to the area of Building #8 North Umberland Way for a reported dumpster fire. Chief 200 arrived and confirmed a working dumpster fire with no exposures. The fire was quickly extinguished by the crew from Engine 204. Support 207, SB EMS, and SBPD also responded.

Around 7:30 AM on Sunday June 21st, the MJFD was dispatched for a reported van fire behind a residence on Fresh Ponds Road. Chief 200 arrived and confirmed a working vehicle fire with another car parked nearby. Firefighters from Engines 204 & 206 quickly extinguished the fire, which required extensive overhaul due to a large amount of storage inside the van. Rescue 205, South Brunswick EMS & South Brunswick PD also responded.
