Important Changes Coming to the Falls City Resource Center

Due to tightening budgets, FCO and our partners will cease on-site services at the Falls City Resource Center.

Here is the breakdown of what is happening and how it affects Falls City:

Service Updates & Support:
-Final Day On-Site: FCO’s last day providing services at the RC is tomorrow, May 7th.

-Still Here to Help: After May 7th, if you need connections to resources, please call the Polk Community Resource Center at 503-751-1644. Our team members can still travel to Falls City to meet with clients on a case-by-case basis.

-The Community Garden: The garden is staying! It will continue to be operated by community volunteers as long as there is interest. Keeping this space running is a priority for everyone.

Future of the Building:
The building is currently owned by the Willamette Health Council, but the intent has always been to gift it to the City of Falls City.

Moving forward, the City is considering moving City Hall staff and services into the Resource Center this summer. This move would keep the building local and put it to good use for the community.

If you have additional ideas or visions for how the space can best serve Falls City, please reach out to city officials as these plans develop.

Free classes for Polk County Residents! The Rent Well program will be available in Polk County on May 5th and May 21st at the Grand Ronde Community Center. Prioritization will be given to Grand Ronde residents or tribal members.

Rent Well is an educational program offering the opportunity to learn skills that help participants be successful renters.
