WOU STEM Scholars Center

WOU STEM Scholars Center Western Oregon University is thrilled to kick-off our first ever OR AMP Summer Bridge Program for WOU students interested in pursuing STEM degrees.

At Western Oregon University, we are excited to announce the beginning of our OR AMP (Oregon Alliance for Minority Participation) program. To get things started, we are hosting a summer Bridge Program for incoming students from underrepresented minority groups who are interested in pursuing degrees in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fields. In 2016 the Bridge Program runs

from September 8th-18th and includes a wide variety of science related and team building activities. A few of the activities we will be doing are building a renewable energy car, completing a ropes course challenge, rafting down the McKenzie River, and exploring STEM careers and famous STEMers.
