Our primary target is the progressive registered voter who hasn’t voted in the past few elections. Our strategy is to go door to door contacting these voters. We will work to get a commitment from them to turn in their ballot. We will be asking them to write themselves a note on a postcard, which we will send back to them after the ballots have been mailed out in mid-October. This is a strategy th
at I learned at Camp Wellstone and want to see utilized Polk County. Our aim is to get out the progressive vote. We will not be supporting or endorsing any candidate. We will be working in conjunction with candidates who are Democrat, Working Family, Pacific Greens Party, and the Progressive Party. In non-partisan races we will be working for the progressive candidates. This election cycle our target is 2,000 voters. We will be looking for you financial help as well asking for some volunteers. We will be focusing our work in the Monmouth, Independence, Dallas and West Salem precincts. We look forward to making this election cycle trans-formative for the progressives in Polk County.
