Last evening at 22:52, 154 was dispatched on the Monongahela first alarm for a residential structure fire with multiple callers. 154 Engine arrived as the second due engine and provided tank water to Engine 62 and started establishing a split lay due to the long driveway. With the fire being in a non-hydrant area, tankers were called in to set up a drafting source.

154 Engine’s crew assisted with suppression, searches, and overhaul before clearing around 04:30.

Departments on scene: 62, 154, 63, 46, 14, 11, 47, 33, 42, 103, and 81 providing standby coverage for multiple areas.

Today at 7:13, your Volunteers were dispatched to the area of Bunola River Road and Elkhorn Road for a vehicle accident with entrapment. 154 Brush arrived and found one vehicle off the roadway into the tree line near the railroad tracks with one patient confined to the vehicle and one patient self extricated. Crews from 154, 139 and 155 worked on extricating one from the vehicle before the patient was transported by Tri-Community EMS and SouthEast Regional EMS.

Today at 12:38, 154 was alerted for a vehicle accident into a tree on Williamsport Road that was possibly on fire. While units were responding, AC911 received reports that the vehicle was on fire and was rolling backwards into a field. 154 Engine arrived as the FDE to a well involved engine compartment fire extending into the passenger compartment and stretched an attack line for suppression. Crews extinguished the fire and remained on scene for an extended period of time extinguishing hot spots within the vehicle.

Yesterday at 20:01 as a severe storm was coming through the area, your volunteers were alerted to assist the City of Monongahela with a river rescue. 154 boat was on the water from the dock minutes after dispatch and proceeded towards the Monongahela Bridge where two kayakers were in distress with one individual in the water. As 154 boat and 62 boat were reaching the kayakers, both individuals were able to safely reach the shore on the Allegheny County side. Crews checked for injuries on both individuals and assisted them and their kayaks back across the river to the Washington County side before clearing.
