🚒 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK IS HERE! 🚒

A few reminders from your friends at Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department:

• Charge devices on a hard, flat surface—not a bed or couch. Use the correct charger and unplug when charging is complete.

• Stop using batteries that are swollen, cracked, leaking, smoking, or unusually hot. Never throw damaged batteries in the trash.

• Test smoke alarms, replace batteries as needed, and replace alarms over 10 years old.

• Stay in the kitchen while cooking. Keep space heaters at least 3 feet from anything that can burn, and never leave them unattended.

• Blow out candles before leaving the room or going to bed.

• Keep exits clear. Know two ways out of every room and choose an outdoor meeting place.

If a fire starts: get out, stay out, and call 911. Never go back inside.

Take a few minutes today to check your alarms, charging areas, and escape plan. Stay safe and look out for your neighbors!
