Saturday thoughts:

The Good Samaritan: Jesus told a famous story in Luke 10 about a Samaritan man who stopped to help a wounded stranger on the road. The man showed true mercy and care, proving that our "neighbor" includes anyone in need.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, kindness goes a long way.

This is a great resource if you are in need💗

Join us in one month—Saturday, October 24—for The Single Mom’s Connection’s annual “Clothing & More Giveaway.” Free items will include clothing, household goods, bedding, baby gear, games, toys, books, sporting equipment, small furniture, and more. The giveaway runs from 10:00 AM to noon in the gym at South Side Baptist Tabernacle.

If you’d like to donate, we would greatly appreciate donations of clean, gently used items for the giveaway. Any household item is welcome, with a special need for children’s clothing and women’s clothing in larger sizes. To request a tax receipt, email a summary of your donations to [email protected]. Thank you!

Both the donation drop-off and the giveaway will take place in the gym at South Side Baptist Tabernacle, west of the church at 6456 Textile Road, Ypsilanti.
