Congratulations Houston Gaines!
On my first day as your Republican nominee for Congress, I'm immensely grateful to the voters of our district for their trust, support, and belief in our campaign during this primary. I also want to thank my opponents for a hard-fought race. Running for office is not easy, and I appreciate their willingness to step forward.
Most importantly, my thanks to you and all who supported our campaign with your prayers, encouragement, time, and resources. From our incredible campaign staff to the hundreds of county captains, interns, and volunteers across the 10th District, we built a grassroots movement.
I especially want to thank my family and most importantly, my wife, Gabi. Nobody sacrifices more during a campaign than a candidate’s spouse, and I’m incredibly grateful she’s been by my side every step of the way.
It has been the honor of my life to serve you in the Georgia House. I've been proud of what we've accomplished, and I'm proud of my record delivering real results. Now, I’m ready to take that fight to Washington to work alongside President Trump and the Republican Majority in Congress to deliver on our conservative agenda.
Let's be the clear: the primary is not the finish line. In short order, we will get back to work because we have a general election to win in November. Just this week, a national publication wrote an article about this race, saying "circumstances are ripe for a flip come November." While I can tell you that we won't let that happen, the stakes are too high for our country to slow down now.
But today I simply want to say Thank You. Thank you for believing in our campaign. Thank you for being a friend and supporter throughout this process. I look forward to continue serving our community.
