Last week, we had the joy of celebrating the TTNS volunteers who pour their time, gifts, and hearts into this community. With only eight staff members, the 400+ volunteers who show up for our programs and activities make this work possible in ways we could never do alone.

We were grateful for the chance to recognize a handful of standout volunteers from across our programs and celebrate the many ways their care, consistency, and generosity ripple through the lives of our neighbors.

A massive thank-you to the amazing community partners who made this celebration so special:

🌿 Falling Water Gardens – for hosting us in your beautiful venue for the 3rd year in a row!
🍔 Evergreen Speedway – for donating heaps of delicious food!
🧺 Hill Street Cleaners – for providing the sparkling linens!
💐 Hmong Highland Garden – for the stunning, unmatched floral bouquets!
☕ Holy Roller Coffee – for the VERY fresh, thoughtful volunteer gifts!

We are deeply honored to be surrounded by volunteers and community partners who believe in Take the Next Step and choose to be part of this impact. Your time, skills, resources, and generosity help our neighbors feel seen, supported, and valued.

From the bottom of our hearts—THANK YOU! 🙌✨

Last week we had Pasado's Safe Haven come and provide dinner for their first time!! We have been so thankful for Pasados and their mission, and have worked with them over the years in different capacities. But having them as our Community Dinner partners was a first- and hopefully not the last!

They did great, and not only brought a fabulous meal to share, they also brought a bunch of pet supplies. This was all greatly appreciated by our Dinner Guests!

We hope you will join us for our next Community Dinner- every Wednesday night. Dinner from 6-7pm, doors open at 5:30. Located in the basement of the Covenant Church at 202 S. Sam's St, Monroe.

We hope to see you there- All are Welcome!!

🌟 It’s National Nonprofit Day! 🌟

Today, we’re celebrating the compassion and generosity of our community. Because of your donations, we’re able to steward resources toward the highest needs through community-driven programs that create real and lasting impact.

Because of you, Lizette is heading into her senior year of high school with a dream of attending dental school after graduation. She has been a paid intern with Kidz Club for three years, and now she’s giving back by teaching Kidz Club students about good oral hygiene!

Lizette’s story is an inspiring reminder of what happens when young leaders are surrounded with support, opportunity, and encouragement. Thank you for walking alongside us as we empower our Sky Valley neighbors with advocacy, help, and hope.

If you’d like to support our work today, you can find the donation link in the comments.

We are so thankful for Kriya Temple of Meditation, along with the support of Swagath International Foods, who provided a dynamite meal to our Community Dinner last Wednesday night! We were richly blessed with delicious food, beautiful community (as always!), and the kindest servers.

We also had some great community partners join us—Beck's Place, Snohomish County Families with Young Children, The Compassionate Friends of Snohomish County, and St. Vincent de Paul of Snohomish County. Coming together to support the community over a shared meal is what we’re all about—we hope you will join us!

🗓️ When: Every Wednesday night from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Doors open at 5:30 PM)

📍 Where: 202 S. Sams St, Monroe, WA (in the basement of the Covenant Church)

National Night Out was another hit — even with all the smoke! ✨ It was so great to connect with so many wonderful people — old friends and new!

We had a lot of fun taking silly pictures, 📸 connecting with our community, and sharing resources. We are so thankful for a community that truly cares about each other and comes together to share, connect, and grow! 💙

If you took any pictures, please feel free to share them in the comments! 👇:)

UPDATE! This need has been graciously met - thank you to our incredible community who came around this so fast!

Pets are family—and for our unhoused neighbors, they can be a lifeline. Their steady companionship can bring comfort, stability, and connection during crisis. Our Outreach Director, Mike, has seen clients go without so their pets have food.

Right now, we’re looking for a tiny harness for Roo, one of the pets we’re helping through Outreach.

Roo is full grown but still too small for a kitty harness. Do you have a ferret or rodent harness to spare? It would help Roo’s owner get out of the vehicle more often for walks which would be so good for both their physical and mental health.

If you have one you’d like to donate, contact Mike: 425-261-9864 or [email protected]

Thank you!
