The Green County Youth Apprenticeship Job Fair was on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, from 10:00 am-12:30 pm, at the Monroe High School gym. We had 364 students attend from Monroe High School, Juda High School, Monticello High School, Brodhead High School, Parkview High School, and Blackhawk High School! Thank you to the 20 companies that attended and shared with the students their Youth Apprenticeship opportunities! Happy National Apprenticeship Day! In 2025, Wisconsin had a record number of youth apprenticeships, with 9,932 high school students participating in the program. This was accompanied by a record 6,727 employer sponsors.

The Rock & Green County Youth Apprenticeship Consortium was able to serve 244 Youth Apprenticeship students from Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit Turner High School, Brodhead High School, Craig High School, Parker High School, Rock River Charter School, Rock University High School, ARISE Virtual Academy, Juda High School, Monroe High School, Monticello High School, Parkview High School, and Rock County Christian School.

The Green County Youth Apprenticeship Job Fair was on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, from 10:00 am-12:30 pm, at the Monroe High School gym. We had over 400 students attend this event from Monroe High School, Monticello High School, Brodhead High School, and New Glarus High School! Thank you to the 19 companies that attended and shared with the students their Youth Apprenticeship opportunities!

The Stateline Manufacturing Alliance (SMA) held their 3rd annual Manufacturing Signing Day event, at Blackhawk Technical College! Congratulations to all the students who have made the decision to pursue their career in Manufacturing! The Rock & Green County Youth Apprenticeship Consortium had six students recognized at today’s event! These students were:

Zea was able to share her experience and journey into the Manufacturing Industry! Congratulations on becoming a Registered Apprentice with Frito Lay!

Happy National Youth Apprenticeship Week! We would like to highlight Jocelyn Reyes, a junior at Monroe High School, that completed her Level 1 Marketing Youth Apprenticeship with the Green County Family YMCA, in Monroe, WI. Jocelyn said, “I am thinking of going to college and opening up my own business in the future. My YA has helped me achieve many things, including how to market a business. This was the main focus of my Apprenticeship and I learned different ways you can market a business even in a different language”. Congratulations to Jocelyn for successfully completing her Youth Apprenticeship Program this year!

Happy National Youth Apprenticeship Week! We would like to highlight Jacob Waston, a senior at Monroe High School, that completed his Level 1 Hospitality & Tourism Youth Apprenticeship Program with Culver’s, in Monroe, WI. Jacob said, “Youth Apprenticeship has helped me achieve social and life skills that I can think back on and I have learned what a working environment is like. This has helped me to know what I want in my future work environment and what I don’t want. I would recommend YA to other students because it gives an opportunity to get a financial head start on life, especially if the student is considering going to college. They can take hours off school and go to work while still getting home at a decent time”. Congratulations to Jacob for successfully completing his Youth Apprenticeship Program and we wish you the best at college!
