Monroe Gospel Women's Mission

Monroe Gospel Women's Mission Dedicated to helping hurting hearts find hope and healing by providing temporary housing and growth programs.
(3)

Established in 2005 and now with two locations, the Monroe Gospel Women's Mission provides food and shelter to single women who need temporary shelter and help. We help them move from homelessness into self-sufficiency. The Monroe Gospel Women's Mission is the area's only shelter for single women between Everett and Wenatchee. We serve the entire spectrum of the homeless population including but not limited to,releases from hospitals, crisis beds and inpatient treatment centers, domestic violence situations, and those living in situations not fit for human habitation. Whatever the reason for their homelessness, the Mission does not discriminate and provides a much needed sanctuary in a safe, clean Christian environment.

Mission: Mission Statement: The Monroe Gospel Women's Mission is dedicated to providing needed assistance of housing, educational direction, counseling, and spiritual help to homeless women.

Thank you Zonta for supporting the mission and giving us an opportunity to share how we help homeless women.

This week we had the privilege of meeting with our friends and partners at Heartbeat International, an organization that helps pregnancy organizations through online trainings, crisis hotlines, and so much more. We are so grateful they took the time during their Seattle visit to meet with us and pray over our home. May God continue to bless you as we strive together to help women in crisis pregnancies.

We are now welcoming donations for our July-12 yard sale. We cannot accept furniture, cabinets, book shelves, mattresses and items that we cannot easily dispose of. Please call the mission with questions 360.863.9003. Thank you.

Cindy Lou came to Monroe Gospel Women’s Mission in December 2018. Struggling after jail, she landed with some friends that did not aid her in her growth toward self-sufficiency. Broken and looking for a new place to begin, her friend recommended she visit Monroe Gospel Women’s Mission. After talking with Adriana on the phone, Cindy Lou thought for sure that she would never be allowed to come to MGWM; but God had a different story for Cindy Lou. After entering the mission, Cindy Lou started attending devotions, Bible studies, and church. After one day studying her Bible, she asked the question so many ask: what must I do to be saved? Our administrative assistant Linda presented her the Gospel for the first time, and she trusted Jesus to be her Savior. Once a Christian, Cindy Lou was baptized at a local church, which she now regularly attends. In addition to her spiritual growth, Cindy Lou is seeing God answer prayers in big ways. She just graduated IOP, will start her GED classes next month, and is hoping to officially be certified as a sign language interpreter. She also recently met with a housing navigator who is optimistic about her progress. Cindy Lou says, “my success is all from being here”, but we know that it is only God who works in us that has truly made all the difference in her life. God is good.

It helps women down on their luck and not trying to be something other than what they are.
Starting tomorrow I will be volunteering at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission!! My reasoning you ask? I have been there. I have done that. It is my turn to give back. It wasn’t that long ago that I lived in a shelter/mission. It totally turned my life around. I met some amazing people and they helped me get to where I am today. I will never forget the advice that you gave me Adriana Moreno! I just hope that by me volunteering, I can share what I leaned from you and the staff from The Monroe Gospel Women’s shelter!!
I will never forget what Dorothy Stima and her colleagues have done for me. I am thankful that God brought me to you and that you understood what I could do with your help. I had a few issues however let me say that I didn't have drug or alcohol issue (not that its important) so that is not what brought me to you. A few years ago I had a very traumatic incident and because of it my physical body went haywire so I ended up with no job and couldn't pay my housing costs. This whole experience has been so hard but I have by the grace of God come through it because he has brought me out of the fire I am truly humbled. I can't say enough for the MGWM this place is truly a place of healing. I am on my way to a new chapter and home in November. I have had a long road to get here but glory ( and I mean all the glory) be to my heavenly Father! I love you all ladies.I can't even put into word's what GOD has done because he brought me to you. And with love and kindness the MWGM has helped me down this 4 year road so... With true appreciation sincerely Cynthia McKinney
HELP! DID YOU BUY A GRAY SCOTT MOUNTAIN BIKE AT THE MONROE WOMEN'S GOSPEL MISSION YARD SALE??? This is a long shot but I'm willing to risk the embarrassment if it meant making it up to my husband. I have apparently donated my husband's gray Scott mountain bike, and not the one I intended to donate (pictured). I know, really stupid. If you bought the bike, or know someone who did, I'd gladly pay you what you paid for it, AND give you the bike pictured, if you'd see it in your heart to sell it back. Needless to say, he's not happy. Thank you for your consideration in helping me right my careless wrong.
Grateful for this place...
I have a baby carseat and baby food, anybody interested?
