Planning Director (Zoning Official) and Town Administrator
The Town of Mineral Springs is a small rural community with an approximate population of 3,418, in
Union County, North Carolina, located between Waxhaw and Monroe. Mineral Springs is proud of the
history of maintaining open spaces, farms, and equestrian character. The Town Council is committed
to preserving its rural identity, while providing thoughtful planning, zoning, and local government
services to its residents. The perfect candidate should be professional with a friendly attitude
when dealing with residents and developers.
The Town of Mineral Springs is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to serve as Planning
Director (Zoning Official) and Town Administrator. This full-time position supports the Town’s

Position Type: Full-time – exempt (36-40 hours per week)
Salary Range: $68,000 to $91,000, based on qualifications and experience
Benefits: Dental, vision, and life insurance
Paid Time Off: Vacation and sick leave accrued monthly, plus 14 paid holidays annually
