🚑💙 Happy EMS Week from Union EMS! 💙🚑

This year’s theme, “Improving Outcomes Together,” reminds us that emergency medical services are just one vital part of a much larger system of care. From 911 telecommunicators and first responders to hospital teams, rehabilitation providers, and community partners—every link in the chain plays a critical role in supporting patient outcomes.

At Union EMS, our paramedics, EMTs, and support staff are proud to stand on the front lines of that system. Every call we answer is part of a coordinated effort focused on delivering the right care at the right time, ensuring our patients receive the best possible outcomes from start to finish.

👏 To our incredible crews: thank you for your professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Your work doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in partnership, and that teamwork saves lives.

❤️ To our healthcare partners and community: thank you for working alongside us and trusting us to be part of your care journey. Together, we truly are making a difference.
Join us this week in recognizing EMS professionals everywhere and the power of collaboration in patient care.

Today is Wounded Heroes Day. 🇺🇸

Observed annually on April 24, this day honors U.S. service members who were wounded in combat and recognizes the enduring sacrifices they, and their families, carry every day.

Wounded Heroes Day is inspired by the story of SGT Michael Verardo, who was critically injured by an IED in Afghanistan on April 24, 2010. He sustained catastrophic injuries and survived against extraordinary odds. That date became known as his Alive Day. Although SGT Verardo has since passed, his courage and legacy continue to inspire a movement rooted in service, remembrance, and support.

Wounded Heroes Day brings together communities, businesses, and organizations to actively support wounded Veterans through awareness, service, and meaningful action, ensuring no wounded hero fights alone.

Today, we honor their sacrifice.
We recognize their resilience.
We remember the strength they carry, and the families who carry it alongside them.

Serve. Show up. Remember.

Last night we gathered to honor the meaning of survival, not just the moment someone makes it through, but the incredible network of people who make survival possible.

At the heart of this celebration are our first responders.
Their courage, quick action, and unwavering commitment turn fear into hope, crisis into recovery, and moments of uncertainty into stories of survival. They are often the first hands extended, the first voices of reassurance, and the first source of strength when seconds count.
But survival doesn’t end there. It’s carried forward by families, caregivers, medical teams, and community members who walk with survivors long after the sirens fade. Together, we create a circle of healing that reminds everyone: you never have to face your hardest moments alone.
Hearts & Hands is more than an event, it’s a testament to the power of community. A reminder that every survivor’s story is connected to someone who showed up, someone who cared, someone who refused to give up.
To the survivors who inspire us, the families who support us, and the first responders who protect us, thank you. Your strength and service change lives every day.
Together, we honor survival.
Together, we lift one another.
Together, we are stronger.

🚑✨ Wash Party at Wingate Fire Department! ✨🚒

Huge shoutout to our friends at Wingate Fire Department for hosting the ultimate post–snow storm wash party! ❄️🧽

Our ambulances rolled in salty, snowy, and sad… and rolled out sparkling like they were ready for a parade. 😎

Thank you for the hospitality, the teamwork, and the good laughs while we turned your parking lot into a full‑blown splash zone. Always great partnering with the Wingate team!

Stay shiny out there! 🚑🚒
