Sam is an absolute powerhouse of fun who thrives on high energy and epic outdoor play sessions! This handsome guy is incredibly treat-driven, making him eager to learn when guided by a firm, loving hand that helps channel his boundless enthusiasm. If there is a splashing water hose or a thick rope involved, Sam is in his absolute element. He is our resident undisputed champion of tug-o-war; in fact, he is so dedicated to the sport that if we secure a heavy-duty rope to the fence, he will happily entertain himself with solo tug tournaments for hours.

Ready to bring this athletic water-bug home? Sam is neutered, up-to-date on his preventatives, and will be microchipped at the time of adoption. He is currently heartworm positive, but the team here at the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe is ready to walk you through exactly how manageable his treatment path is. For a $100 adoption fee, you can add an incredibly loyal and endlessly entertaining companion to your active lifestyle. Alea had an absolute blast getting some fresh air with Puddin and Punkin today! These two sweeties are all smiles when they get to stretch their legs, sniff the breeze, and explore. 🐾🌳

Want to make a shelter dog's day (and get your own steps in while you're at it)? We would love to have you join our volunteer dog walking crew! It is an incredibly rewarding way to spend an hour or two, and dogs like Puddin and Punkin are always eager for a walking buddy.

🎉💖 BIG LOVE FOR A BIG BOY: GOLIATH IS ADOPTED! 💖🎉

It is officially a Happy Tail for this magnificent house hippo! 🦛✨

Goliath has found his furever home, and we are pretty sure this glorious, chonky boy actually weighs more than his momma! 😂 Don't let his mammoth size fool you, though—under all that muscle is an absolute gentle giant with a heart of pure gold. 💛🐾

Seeing this big meatball head off brings so much joy to all of us here at the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe. We are beyond thrilled that he found the perfect lap to (attempt to) sit on! 🛋️🐶

Someone’s furry Houdini managed to wander over near Lamar Outdoor Advertising, clearly scouting out prime billboard space or just seeing where the day would take them.

This little runaway is safe, sound, and getting plenty of love, but definitely ready to wrap up the sightseeing tour and head back to their actual couch.

We are absolutely over the moon to announce that our sweet boy, Stimpy, officially left the building on Friday with his wonderful new family! 🐾💙

🐾 A Huge Thank You to Petsense! 💙

We want to send a massive shoutout to Chuck and the amazing team at Petsense for having us out today! Their hospitality was absolutely fantastic, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to set up and spend the morning with everyone.

Community partnerships like this mean the absolute world to us and, more importantly, to our dogs. Thanks to Chuck and his crew, our pups got to soak up so much love and attention from all the friendly folks today. We truly couldn't do what we do without the support of such incredible local businesses!
