Resurfacing will begin on Youth Monroe Road between Hwy 81 and Hwy 78 tentatively beginning Monday, June 29, 2026.
Please keep in mind that there will be traffic delays in this area.
What to expect:
🚗 Traffic Delays: Plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

🚧 SR 138 Bridge Closure Update 🚧

Crews continue making significant progress on bridge rehabilitation work over Big Flat Creek in Walton County. The roadway is anticipated to reopen Friday morning, and crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to meet that timeline.

We recognize the inconvenience this closure has caused motorists and appreciate your patience as this critical work is completed.

Lane Closures - Woodlake subdivision for Sweet Creek Ln and Timberland Rd

HA5 Roadway Preservation Treatment will be begin tentatively Tuesday, June 30, 2026 through Wednesday, July 1, 2026, weather permitting.

During this time one lane will be closed intermittently until work is completed.

We appreciate you patience and cooperation as we work to maintain our county roads.

UPDATE: Both lanes are open

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – YOUTH MONROE ROAD 🚧

Youth Monroe Road will be reduced to one lane between Raymond's Landing and Highway 81 for a culvert replacement project beginning Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

🚗 Expect delays. Flagged traffic control will be in place. Please slow down and watch for workers in the construction zone.

Be sure to plan ahead, leave early, or use alternate routes to avoid delays. Thank you for your patience during this project!
