WINTER WEATHER ALERT: Union County and surrounding areas are under a Winter Weather Watch. Snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected tomorrow, beginning around noon.

With safety as a top priority and in consultation with emergency management staff, Union County Public Schools will be closed for students on Friday, Jan. 10.

• There is no remote instruction for students on Jan. 10. A make-up day is not needed.
• High school principals will share their updated exam schedule with students and parents by tomorrow.
• All UCPS facilities will be closed on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11.
• All district, school, after-school and athletic events are cancelled on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11.
