Attention campers, following DNR Parks and Recreation Policy, campsites must be occupied within 24 hours of your arrival date, and if not checked in by 3 PM the next day, your campsite will be automatically moved to “No-show”, canceling your stay.

Please plan accordingly, and make modifications to your booking if you are not able to arrive on your arrival date.

This policy will be enforced consistently across all State Parks.

Today was full of sunshine and hard work! Earlier the fantastic people from Detroit Stoker Company and a few of our dedicated Summer Workers installed over 20 brand new BBQ grills throughout the park. Just in time for the busy summer holidays.

Big THANK YOU to Detroit Stoker Company for all the help. Also big shout out to our Summer Workers Terry, Dakota, Kaylee and Kylie for joining us for another season.

Sterling has received a track chair, thanks to Kali's Cure. The chair is now available for reservations starting May 22nd through Labor Day weekend.

More information:

Track chairs are off-road, electronic chairs can easily handle trails, snow, sand and even up to 8 inches of water, allowing users to explore areas of the parks that traditional wheelchairs might not reach.
