Hope Restored Bulgaria We are non-profit organization called HopeRestoredbg which is involved in making a difference in the lives of thousands of children in the country of Bulgaria.

Passionate leaders stewarding Hope Restored Bulgaria’s mission mobilizing resources, strengthening communities, and delivering faith-centered humanitarian care to families in need. This country is deeply embedded in corruption in all walks of life, but we are focusing on the child slavery and child abuse that is rampant. After having worked in this country for several years, we know firsthand how these people are suffering. Now more than ever we have an opportunity to expand our borders as never before. We know about the human trafficking, child abuse, modern day slavery, and abandoned children left behind. Connected with these projects is our “Child Awareness Program” that is already in progress. We have a retired teacher who is called and committed to teaching a series of lessons about child safety to children and parents. The area is crying out for this kind of help because we know that education will reduce the problem by as much as 50%. So that is a great challenge and motivation for us to go full speed ahead with this program.

A bag of food. A moment of kindness. A reminder: “You are not forgotten.”

Yesterday, Turi met with around 30 widows in Bulgaria’s Dobrich region, distributing food bags and sharing the love and hope of Jesus.

In these communities, poverty makes daily life difficult, and meeting even basic needs can be a struggle. Behind every bag we gave is a woman with a name, a story, and a life precious to God.

Through your generosity, we can show up with food, encouragement, and a reminder that someone cares. Your support becomes something they can hold in their hands—and put on their table.

If you feel led, you can help by giving, praying for these women and the team serving them, or sharing this message with someone who may want to join in. Every act of support, large or small, helps us continue this work.

Thank you for helping us care for these precious women. Thank you for every gift, every prayer, and every act of kindness that makes this outreach possible.

May God bless you for the love you continue to share.

Yesterday’s outreach in Krushari was truly beyond anything we could have imagined! We were so excited to help the children prepare for school with brand-new book bags. They welcomed us with beautiful smiles, grateful hearts, and so much joy.

We were also blessed to distribute 30 large bags of food. Each bag helped provide for approximately eight or nine people, allowing us to reach around 240–270 children and adults! We visited families in their homes, prayed with them, and shared the love of Jesus. Everything we do is about reminding people that they are seen, they are loved, and there is hope for tomorrow.

To every sponsor and supporter: thank you! None of this would be possible without your generosity, prayers, and faithful partnership. Through Hope Restored Bulgaria and Cornett Ministries, we are making a meaningful difference throughout Bulgaria especially here in the Dobrich region.

This is only the beginning! We will continue sharing videos and stories as we serve families and spread the love of God across Bulgaria.

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue this mission. Together, we are restoring hope one child, one family, and one community at a time.

Over the past several weeks, life has taught me some very deep lessons.

Walking alongside my dad through his health challenges, helping my mom navigate difficult decisions, and supporting my family through this season has stretched me in ways I never expected. At the same time, working in the cemetery profession means I walk daily with families who are grieving, hurting, struggling with mental health challenges, and trying to find hope after devastating loss.

If I’m honest, there have been moments when it all felt overwhelming.

People often ask me, “How do you do it? How do you live alone? Why aren’t you dating? Why aren’t you in a relationship?”

The truth is that in this season of my life, God has been teaching me something precious.

He is teaching me to be still.

He is teaching me to spend more time in His presence, more time listening than speaking, and more time allowing Him to strengthen my heart. In the quiet moments, God often speaks the loudest.

As I sit with my dad in rehabilitation and observe the elderly around me, I find myself reflecting on life. I watch their struggles, their loneliness, their victories, and their need for kindness. It reminds me that one day I, too, will walk that road.

Will someone show compassion to me?

Will someone offer encouragement?

Will someone take the time to care?

Those thoughts remind me how important it is to love people well today.

As we grow older, life can bring seasons of sadness, grief, loneliness, and even depression. That is why we must lean heavily on the Lord. We must allow Him to carry the burdens that are too heavy for us to bear. We must surround ourselves with people who strengthen our faith, encourage our hearts, and remind us that we are not alone.

Tonight, I want to encourage anyone who may be struggling.

God is beside you.

He has not forgotten you.

He is not against you.

He is for you.

Keep trusting Him. Keep walking forward. Keep leaning on His strength when your own strength feels exhausted.

“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” — Deuteronomy 33:27

No matter what season you are facing, His arms are still holding you.

Mental health is one of the greatest struggles facing our world today. It affects people of every age, every background, and every nation. Depression, anxiety, abuse, anger, loneliness, grief, and hopelessness can quietly tear apart hearts, families, and communities.

As we look around us, we see a growing need to care for those who are hurting, especially the next generation. Mental health is not just a personal issue—it is a global issue. Many people are fighting battles that nobody else can see.

At Hope Restored Bulgaria, we witness these struggles firsthand. We see individuals and families carrying deep emotional wounds caused by poverty, broken relationships, abuse, loss, and despair. Yet we also believe there is hope. We believe that God is our source of strength, healing, comfort, and restoration.

Psalm 46:1 reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

Today, we ask you to join us in prayer for the nation of Bulgaria. Pray for those struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, and emotional pain. Pray for children and young people who are searching for hope and direction. Pray for families to be restored, hearts to be healed, and lives to be transformed through the love of Christ.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hope Restored Bulgaria, thank you for standing with us in prayer. Together, we can bring hope to those who feel forgotten and remind them that they are loved, valued, and never alone.

Some days we walk through situations not knowing which way to turn. But here’s what I know for sure—Jesus loves us, and that’s what truly matters.

When we lose our temper, when things spiral out of control, that’s our cue to pause, surrender it all to the Lord, and ask Him to guide us. To give us strength. We are not perfect—and some days I wish I were—but I’m thankful that God gives us grace every single day to start again.

Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings. Thank You for the people who follow and support Hope Restored Bulgaria. Thank You that You pick us up, gather the broken pieces of our lives, comfort us, and remind us that Your arms are always open.

Today, I’m resting in Him.
I encourage each of you to let the Lord bless you today. Let Him strengthen you. Let Him cover you with grace.

Be blessed in His will. Betty Cornett

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” – Proverbs 3:5–6

That is what I say when you are going through a storm. When you feel like you cannot make it, when the road feels dark and uncertain, you must trust God and keep moving forward. You have to allow Him to guide you and direct the path you take.

Today, I am telling all my friends with Hope Restored Bulgaria: move in the direction the Lord is giving you for 2026. Walk in faith. Obey His leading. He will make the way clear.
