I beg of you…please stop putting oils and grease in your hair before your appointment. Here is why:

1. Grease clogs your scalp, it does not condition it.

2. Oil is a sealant, not a moisturizer. If your hair is already dry & you add oil you are sealing in the dryness.

3. Some of you literally DRENCH your hair in oil or grease to “detangle”. That does not work! Use a detangling shampoo, conditioner combined with a spray after washing it to ease the detangling process

4. The grease/oil interferes with the products that I use on your hair. It turns your hair white & literally sits on top of your hair.

5. It makes it difficult for me to grip your hair. Again DRENCHING your hair with grease makes your hair slippery & a pain to braid. I have to wipe my hands between braiding b/c of the 10 lbs of grease you put in it.

If you want to oil your scalp do so AFTER your hair has been braided. You may not even need it as you all know I oil your scalp after I’m done braiding.
