🚒🚑 Behind every firefighter entering a burning building, every EMT providing life-saving care, every dispatcher managing critical emergency calls, and every HazMat technician mitigating dangerous hazards is a union standing up for their rights.
📑 Our union ensures our brothers and sisters don't stand alone. Through collective bargaining and solidarity, the PFANJ delivers the strong contracts, safety standards, and protections our members earn every single day:
-Safer Working Conditions: Removing PFAS from our gear, advocating for safe staffing, and lobbying for cancer screening so every first responder makes it home.
-Fair Wages & Comprehensive Benefits: Securing strong compensation, affordable healthcare, and funded pensions with COLA to support our families.
-Legal & Workplace Protection: Ensuring every member has dedicated representation, fair hearings, and a powerful voice on the job without retribution through the International Association of Fire Fighters Guardian Policy.
-Collective Strength: Uniting over 367,000 firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, and HazMat technicians across New Jersey, the United States, and Canada. A force that grows every day.
