Local 3170 Members participated in the New Jersey Firefighters PFANJ inaugural Sporting Clays Fundraiser held at Red Wing Sporting Clays in Port Republic. This was a successful event headed up by one of our very own members, FF Brian Yockman.

Day 1 of the PFANJ convention is complete and we would like to congratulate all of the members elected to the Executive Board! Local 3170 was well represented today with FF Brian Yockman ( Monroe Township Fire District #2 ) being elected to State Secretary and Captain Jim Hannon ( Monroe Twp Fire District #3 ) being elected to Vice President of State District 2. Many other members from our local were present as well.

5/12/26 -A Platoon - Monroe Township Tower 57 and Ladder 23 were dispatched to Plainsboro Twp for a fire in a residence. Plainsboro PD confirmed a solar panel fire. Plainsboro Professional Firefighters Association - Local 4954 Squad 49 went into operation with an attack quickly knocking the fire down.

On 5/5/26 Monroe Twp Stations 23A and 23B were dispatched to Costco Drive for the reported Commercial Vehicle Fire. With confirmed reports of an active Fire, Monroe Twp Squad 57 was added.

At last night's District 3's monthly Commissioner meeting, we officially welcomed Probationary Firefighter Tyler Keefer and promoted Firefighter Bartok to Captain. Congratulations to both!!!

On 4/3/26, Monroe Twp B Platoon Squad 57 was dispatched for the reported vehicle fire. Utility 23 happened to be in the area and advised that there was 1 vehicle well involved with multiple exposures including 2 additional vehicles and a garage. Given this report Capt 57 added Stations 23A and 23B to the box. Squad 57s crew extinguished the fire keeping any additional damage to a minimum and prevented the fire from extending into the garage.
