Our PFANJ has recently asked us to enhance our partnership statewide to improve your members' access to comprehensive CANCER screenings. We currently have several locations available for scheduling:

- Secaucus, NJ 07094: May 14th & 28th
- Paramus, NJ 07652: May 13th
- Voorhees, NJ 08043: May 8th & 22nd

If your members are part of the SHBP plan, they can access these screenings for free at any of these sites by scanning the QR code. If you are not part of the SHBP plan, please contact us at 646-854-3299.

We understand that it can be challenging to find time for offsite screenings. That's why we're offering to bring these services directly to your firehouses and union halls. If you're interested in arranging onsite screenings, please contact me directly, and we can organize these services for your locality.

Last night, Monroe Twp E5 and T57 responded into Manalapan Twp for a working fire box. E5s crew operated a hand line on the C Side of the structure and T57 crew checked B Side exposures.

On 4/19, Monroe Twp Engine 5 and Squad 57 responded to Manalapan for a working fire box. Engine 5s crew assisted in extinguishment while Squad 57 served as the RIT.

Early this morning, Monroe Twp Tower 57, Engine 57, Engine 5, Ladder 23, and Squad 51 were dispatched for a fire in abandoned house on Cranbury Station Road. On arrival, Tower 57 confirmed a working fire and requested a 2nd alarm. Crews stretched 2 lines to extinguish the fire. Units from Millstone Twp, Jamesburg, East Windsor 42, Highstown, and Plainsboro operated on scene. Monroe PD and Monroe Twp EMS assisted on scene.

Yesterday, Monroe Twp Squad 57 and Ladder 23 were dispatched for the working fire box in East Windsor. Ladder 23 was assigned to truck work while Squad 57 served as the RIT.

Local 3170 members participated in the St Baldricks fundraiser at the North Plainfield Fire Department.
Local members raised $4600, and the total event raised over $52000.

Monroe Twp Tanker 57 was requested into Elizabeth, NJ, for a large brush fire on the NJTP. Smoke and flames made travel conditions extremely dangerous. Tanker 57 was tasked with feeding one of Newark's engines.

Monroe Twp Squad 57 and Ladder 23 responded into Plainsboro for a working fire box. Ladder 23s crew checked for extension and ventilated division 2. Squad 57 served as the RIT team and established a water supply for Engine 49. Our Local 4954 Brothers made a great stop.

We would like to extend our most sincere condolences to our brothers and sister of the Plainfield Fire Department and to the family of Firefighter Marques Hudson.

City officials announced that FF Marques Hudson suffered fatal injuries while operating at a fire this morning. Three additional firefighters were also sent to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Monroe Twp Squad 57 responded to Englishtown to assist with structural shoring after a vehicle struck the house. The crew from Sq 57 used box cribbing (a class 3 shore) and a Paratech vertical shore to capture the unsupported load. Asbury Park Fire Department used the Paratech shore to create a double T vertical shore (class 2) and a door frame shore.

On 12/29 at 2008hrs , Monroe Ladder 23 was dispatched for a RIT assignment in North Brunswick, 2 Petunia Drive, for an apartment fire. On arrival, they were reassigned to ladder pipe operations. On 12/30 at 1653hrs L23 was dispatched, yet again, for another apartment fire at 16 Petunia Drive. L23's crew operated 2 handlines before moving to master stream operations.

On December 27th, Monroe Engine 5 and Squad 57 responded to a mutual aid call in Manalapan. The initial call received was for an activated fire alarm. Within minutes, Monmouth County reported receiving phone calls that there were flames showing from the 2nd story windows. Initial crews made an aggressive attack, quickly knocking down the fire.

Members of Local 3170 participated in a special toy drive to try and help make this upcoming holiday a little better and hopefully bring some smiles and moments of happiness to those in the Robert Wood Johnson Children's Hospital.

This was our first year participating in this cause, and we hope to continue every year. We would like to say thank you to all who helped make this the success it was.

At 0804 HRS, Monroe Twp Squad 57 along with Monroe Township EMS and Monroe Township Police Department - Middlesex County, NJ were dispatched to Rt 33 and Bentley Road for the reported overturned vehicle with entrapment. Squad 57s crew arrived and quickly went into operation, stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the victim from the vehicle.

Monroe Township Fire District #3 IAFF Local 3170 in conjunction with Monroe Township Police PBA 255 will be participating in a toy drive to benefit Robert Wood Johnson University Children's Hospital. There are several available drop off sites including the Monroe Township Emergency Services station located at 359 Schoolhouse Rd. If you can assist us , please drop off presents at the station by utilizing the red box located in front of the firehouse or ring the doorbell.

Yesterday, Squad 57, along with and , responded to the Concordia community for the MVA with entrapment. Monroe EMS and PD arrived, giving a good size up of the incident, giving Squad 57s crew time to develop a plan of attack prior to arrival. Squad 57s crew arrived and quickly went to work on stabilizing the vehicle and extracting the patient.

Today, Monroe Township Ladder 8 operated as the 4th due truck on the 2nd Alarm in the Boro of South River. Ladder 8 was tasked with opening up the building and operating hand lines. Crews operated for approximately 4 hrs before returning to the township.
