It's election day and our volunteers are out in full force this morning! Please remember to get to the polls today to cast your vote and put an end to the Jindal/Walsworth Administration! Men and women have given their lives so that we could hold free and fair elections in this country - so if you're thinking about opting out of voting remember it is a privilege that was not easily obtained. Let's send a real leader to Baton Rouge who will give north Louisiana the voice it deserves.

Vote #47 - Vance McAllister.

10/23/2015

Please stand with me tomorrow so we can put an end to the Jindal/Walsworth Administration for good! We literally cannot afford to continue with the same failed policies and "business as usual" in Baton Rouge if we want to build a better Louisiana for ourselves and our children. Please like and share!

Question 7: WHAT KIND OF VOICE WILL YOU BE FOR OUR SENATE DISTRICT 33?

I am a hard worker! Those who know me, know that I roll up my sleeves and get the job done. I believe our rural areas need strong, effective representation in Baton Rouge. We send a dollar in taxes? We should get our fair share back. Those folks in the state capitol need to know there is a “Louisiana” north of I-10. I will be accessible. I will visit all areas of the district, and not just at election time!

Question 6: WHY ARE OUR YOUNG PEOPLE LEAVING THE STATE?

Our young people leave the state to find better jobs. Or sometimes to find ANY job. This splits up families. When I was young, it was great to visit my grandparents and have Sunday dinners with family. It's how MANY of us grew up. That closeness of family served us well. Today, families are separated by miles as our kids grow up, move away. Let's create jobs HERE in Louisiana so we can keep our kids and grandkids at home. I want our citizens to spend more time planning Sunday dinners and less time learning new zip codes!

We need volunteers to help sign wave this week. Please let us know if you would like to help out!

Question 5: WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON OUR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROBLEM?

Illegal immigration is a huge problem facing our nation and state! Illegals present a drain on our state’s education and social service budgets. They also take jobs from our citizens AND income from our state. My solution to the immigration problem in just THREE words: SECURE THE BORDER! Back in West Carroll Parish we learned you don’t start dipping water out of a sinking boat UNTIL you plug the leak. Let’s secure our borders FIRST and then deal with those who are already here.

Question 4: WHAT WILL THE NEW DISTRICT 33 STATE SENATOR FACE WHEN HE TAKES OFFICE IN JANUARY?

This state is bankrupt. We have to acknowledge that you can’t say your state is in good financial shape when we have billion dollar deficits each year. The “Jindal/Walsworth Administration” robs Peter to pay Paul. They have taken money from every account, every pension savings, every legal settlement to “balance” the budget. But payday is here. All four candidates for governor say they will immediately call a special session to overhaul the tax policies of our state. Everything will be on the table when the legislature meets in January. Our rural areas stand poised to take the brunt of this realignment on taxes. We have less votes in the rural areas so we will find ourselves at the short end of the stick unless we have a strong, decisive voice at the table. I will be that voice! I will make sure that Baton Rouge hears our needs and concerns in north Louisiana.
