River Raisin National Battlefield Park Foundation A 501(C)(3) Not-for-Profit Corporation founded to support the River Raisin National Battlefield Park and its educational and memorial mission.

Shop our River Raisin Trade Depot gift shop inside the visitor center. The Battlefield Foundation works extensively to support the development and implementation of curriculum-based educational programming, living history activities, interactive exhibits, visitor facilities and Battlefield protection that engender an understanding of the War of 1812. Educational programming is conducted from five

major perspectives including American Indian (Wyandot, Huron, Potawatomi, Ottawa, Ojibawa, Shawnee, Miami, and Seneca history); African-American (Free and Slave); French Settlers; United States (Frontier, Kentucky, and Early State); and British & Canadian Settlers. As visitors and students immerse in the history of the River Raisin from new perspectives the Battles national and international significance come alive in their hearts and minds. The Battlefield Foundation provides volunteer support and financial assistance for preservation, restoration, development, educational, and interpretive projects of River Raisin National Battlefield Park. River Raisin National Battlefield Park is the only National Battlefield Park dedicated to preserving and telling the story of the War of 1812 and the Battlefield is the only unit of the National Park System that is solely dedicated to preserving, restoring and educating visitors and students about the vast complexities and dynamics of the War of 1812 in the Northwest Territories. Please join us in supporting our endeavor to ensure historically and culturally significant Battlefield sites connect people to their heritage providing for a strong, prosperous and democratic nation.

Get your tickets now to our Soiree de Fondateurs! This event on June 12, at 6pm, takes you back to our early days during 1812. Enjoy dinner, dancing and fabulous conversation with Habitants! Yes, dress up in attire, being Military of the 1812 Period, Beautiful Regency Gowns, and dance the evening away! We'll have raffle items and 50/50 raffles as well. On Memorial Day, we remember and honor all who gave everything in service to our nation. Here at River Raisin National Battlefield Park Foundation, we hold that spirit close — as dedicated caretakers of all stories of service and sacrifice from the January 1813 battles that shaped our country's earliest days.

Park Visitor Center hours on Memorial Day are 9am to 5pm with free daily admission.

Our Nation’s Veterans, from the wars beginning 1789, to the current day, are truly worthy of honor.
