Monroe Mayor Robert Clark and County Administrator Michael Bosanac toured St. Mary Academy to lend their support of its revitalization. In speaking to the press, Mayor Clark said ""It's fabulous to have someone see the value and want to bring it back to life. It's fantastic. The vision of the developers will bring a lot to the county."

Good news!
An Option to Purchase agreement was executed for the redevelopment of the former St. Mary Academy on May 29, 2024 between The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (SSIHM) and local businessman and Catholic Central Graduate Keith Masserant, to initiate the redevelopment of the former St. Mary Academy property in Monroe.
