Meet our Provisionals for 2026 | A.J. Leake

✨What made you want to join the League this year?
" I joined Junior League because I wanted to be part of a group of women who take action and make a real impact in the community. I was drawn to the organization’s focus on leadership, service, and long‑term change. The more I learned about the projects Junior League supports, the more I realized it was a place where I could grow, contribute, and surround myself with people who care about the same things I do."

✨What community issue are you most passionate about?
"I’m most passionate about supporting women and children who face barriers to stability and opportunity. Whether it’s access to education, safe housing, or essential resources, I believe strong families create strong communities. I’m drawn to work that helps break cycles, builds confidence, and gives people the tools they need to thrive."

✨What are you most looking forward to in your League journey?
"I’m most looking forward to growing as a leader and challenging myself in new ways. Junior League creates space to learn, stretch, and step into roles that build confidence and skills. I’m excited to discover where I can contribute and how I can evolve through the experience."

✨What is one thing you have learned about JLM that surprised you?
"One thing that surprised me about the Junior League is how deeply structured and impactful its volunteer work really is, far beyond what I expected from a volunteer organization. Many chapters run large‑scale programs, provide formal leadership training, and partner with major community organizations in ways that feel more like a professional nonprofit than a casual volunteer group."

We are so excited to have A.J. as a member of our 2026 Provisional class!
