At FIELDS of Green County Emergency Shelter, we are incredibly grateful for the strong partnerships that help us better serve our residents.

A special thank you to Society of St Vincent de Paul Monroe, WI’s Personal Essentials Pantry (PEP) for their collaboration in helping ensure our shelter and the individuals we serve have access to essential personal care items. These everyday necessities make a meaningful difference for people working to regain stability.

You can learn more about their Personal Essentials Pantry at:

πŸ’™ Community Update and Thank You πŸ’™

Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to support FIELDS of Green County Emergency Shelter during this stretch of extreme cold. Because of your generosity, we have already raised $305 (37%) toward the $823 in unbudgeted costs of staying open during the day to keep our residents safe and warm.

We will continue to remain open during daytime hours while other safe spaces are closed, because no one should be left out in dangerous weather.

If you are able and would like to help us continue closing the gap, donations can be made here:

Every contribution makes a difference, and we are truly grateful for this community’s support. πŸ’™πŸ

01/22/2026

Due to the extreme cold and the closure of other safe daytime spaces due to the weather, FIELDS of Green County Emergency Shelter will remain open during the day for our shelter residents this weekend. Normally, the shelter operates overnight only from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Keeping the shelter open during this extra time is an unbudgeted expense, with an estimated cost of $823 to cover staff overtime and increased heating needs.

If you are able and would like to help offset this additional cost, donations can be made here:
πŸ‘‰ https://www.fieldsgreencounty.org/donate/

Thank you for supporting our neighbors during dangerous weather. πŸ’™πŸ

πŸŽ‰ Celebrate! πŸŽ‰
On Monday, we said goodbye to two of our shelter residents. They successfully transitioned from our emergency shelter into an unsubsidized rental unit.

While these two residents were only with us for a few days, they were a great addition to FIELDS, and we are excited for their move into their own rental.

This is exactly why FIELDS exists, to support individuals on their path to stability, independence, and permanent housing.

Congratulations to these two residents on this incredible achievement, and thank you to our staff and community partners who helped make this program possible. πŸ’™πŸ
