The Board of Education was happy to recognize three of our coaches at last night’s meeting who were honored with coaching awards this year. Coach Snook was recognized as the District 6 Coach of the Year and Ringholz Coach of the Year. Coach Nester was named Firelands Coach of the Year. Coach Fries was awarded the Northwest District Media Coach of the Year and Firelands Coach of the Year. Monroeville is lucky to have great coaches and role models for our students and we are grateful for all they pour into our athletes and young people. Thank you to ALL of our coaching staff! We appreciate you!

Tristen Clevenger, a 2026 Monroeville High School graduate, experienced a massive turning point during his junior year when he found out he was going to be a father. In that moment, everything shifted.

The skipping stopped. He picked up a job. He started taking care of his girlfriend and his growing family — all while walking back through the school doors every single day.
