Dear UPS Families,

What a great first two days! It has been wonderful welcoming our students back to Upper Pittsgrove School. Our building is once again filled with learning, laughter, and excitement, and we are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead.

Labor Day – No School

Upper Pittsgrove School will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8, when we’ll settle into our regular full-day schedule and get into the swing of the school year.

Clubs & Activities

​​Look for details about joining Band and/or Community Service Club.

Food Service

Be sure to check the Food Service menus regularly so you know what is being served each day. Menus and food service information are available through our school website and newsletter.

OnCourse & PickUp Patrol

Please make sure you are familiar with OnCourse and PickUp Patrol, as these systems are important for maintaining accurate student information, attendance, and dismissal plans.

If you have questions or experience any issues with either system, please don't hesitate to reach out to Ms. Leady via email [email protected]. I'm happy to help!

Parent/Student Handbook & Important Policy Updates

We strongly encourage all families to review the updated Parent/Student Handbook, which is available on the Parent/Student Handbook page of our school website. In particular, please take the time to carefully review the updated Attendance and Conduct/Discipline Policies. There are important changes and clarifications regarding our attendance procedures, and it is essential that families understand these expectations as we begin the new school year.

The handbook also contains other important information families should be familiar with, including our dress code, school procedures, expectations for student conduct, and other policies and guidelines that help answer many of the questions that arise throughout the school year.

Daretown Day Parade – A great local tradition and a fun way to celebrate our community.

Flu Shot Clinic – Information about the upcoming community flu shot clinic can be found in this week's newsletter.

Welcome Back to School! 🍎✨

As the summer winds down, our school halls are filled with that unmistakable mix of excitement, preparation, and first-day jitters.

Our team has spent all summer getting ready for a fantastic year. While we always aim for perfection, the first week is a transition, and reality usually comes with a few hiccups:

Bus routes and pickup lines will take a few days to find their groove.

Student arrivals will range from eager kids bouncing through the doors to sweet little ones clinging to a parent's leg.

Backpacks might be fully stocked, or missing a folder that's still on the kitchen counter.

And that is completely okay!

We ask for a little extra patience, grace, and humor as we smooth out the bumps together. Smooth routines take time, but our commitment to your children is steady from day one.

Thank you for your partnership, support, and smiles in the carpool line. Together, we’re going to make it a wonderful school year! 🚌📚
