Let's learn about our beautiful home! Our Earth STEM series is on Tuesdays after school starting May 19th at 4:45pm. Participants will learn about soil layers, ecosystems, food chains, and more! May is the month for field trips to the library! We love welcoming kindergarten classes from all of the Gateway School District's elementary schools and encouraging them to be lifelong readers and library lovers ♥️

Mother’s Day can hold so many different emotions.

Exhaustion.
Healing.

Today, we’re celebrating all the moms. ❤️

The birth moms.
The adoptive moms.
The foster moms.
The step-moms.
The single moms.
The moms-to-be.
The grieving moms.
The LGBTQ+ moms.
And the moms carrying stories that nobody else can fully see.

Motherhood doesn’t always look the same.
Families don’t always look the same.
Love doesn’t always follow a traditional path.

But love still matters.
Care still matters.
Showing up still matters.

It's a beautiful evening for a BOOK WALK in the park! Next time you visit Monroeville Community Park, make sure and check out the trail behind the gazebo, where you'll find our permanent Book Walk. This month, you can read The Summer Nick Taught His Cats to Read by Curtis Manley, a sweet and silly picture featuring cats for the month of May-ow 🐱🐈

Have you ever played a banana piano? Or controlled your video game character with play-doh? On Saturday May 16th from 10-11am, we'll be creating some crazy amazing stuff - this session is for 8-10 year olds and registration is required: https://live-monroeville.pantheonsite.io/event/makey-makey-makerpalooza-15415
After we're done creating, the room will be open for little kids (ages 5 and up) from 11:15-12 to come explore what we've made! If possible, stick around and help show them how it works. No registration is required for this session.

Our ☀️SUMMER CAMPS☀️ are back! We are doing things a little differently this year - registration will open for ALL of the camps on MAY 26th. Please register your kids for no more than 2 of the camps - if you register for more than 2, they will be removed from the excess camps of our choosing. We are trying to make sure that as many kids as possible get the opportunity to come!
We have a lot more fun summer programs (for all ages) that we'll be announcing in the weeks to come - keep your eyes peeled👀
