The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
North central Monroe County in south central Alabama...
East central Clarke County in southwestern Alabama...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 347 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles east of
Fulton, or 12 miles east of Grove Hill, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
north central Monroe and east central Clarke Counties.

Another day of temperatures topping out in the 94-to-101-degree range today. Heat Indices topping out in the 108-to-112-degree range are expected, with a few localities seeing even high readings.

🌀 TROPICAL UPDATE (Sunday 7/19/26, 11 AM): Tropical Depression Two has formed over the eastern Gulf. It is forecast to slowly intensify into a tropical storm and approach our local area around midweek.

🏖️ Potential Impacts: The highest risks are currently expected along and near the coast (including life-threatening rip currents and rough surf starting Tuesday).

Tropical Depression 2 has recently formed over the eastern Gulf and will slowly move to the west-northwest over the next couple of days. Tropical Depression 2 is forecast to remain offshore through mid week,
before eventually moving west of the area. Potential impacts to the northern Gulf Coast include hazardous beach conditions, locally heavy rainfall in any outer bands that move ashore and wind gusts up to tropical storm force along the immediate coast. These impacts are expected to begin as early as Monday night and continue through
Wednesday. A Tropical Storm Watch is currently in effect for coastal Florida.
