🚧 CONSTRUCTION ON HUNTINGTON DRIVE: June 15 -19 🚧

Roadway maintenance will take place at multiple locations along Huntington Drive. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible, during the road closure.

We recognize that construction can be messy and inconvenient, and thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience as we work through these improvements! Please note that schedules are subject to change, and we appreciate your flexibility.

We’re making a change to how street sweeping parking restrictions are enforced, one worth knowing about if you park on a residential street.

For years, residents have been allowed to move their vehicles back into posted “No Parking” areas once the street sweeper passed, even while the parking restriction period was still in effect. This practice created inconsistency, and the Monrovia Police Department is moving to enforce posted “no parking” signage as they’re posted.

This means the “No Parking 10 am - 12 pm” sign will be enforced between 10 am - 12pm. No changes are being made to posted times, signs, or routes, only to how the hours are applied and signage is enforced. For questions, please contact our Parking Enforcement Office at 626-256-8083.

May is National Bike Month! 🚲

To kick things off, we’re partnering with and to host a Walk/Bike/Roll to School event on Wednesday, May 20! Meet at Library Park at 7am, where students will join a bike or walk “bus” to either Mayflower or Monroe Elementary. Fun signs are highly encouraged! Register today with the link in our bio.

May is a month-long celebration of biking. A time to get inspired and encouraged to get on the saddle again or for the very first time! Biking is a fun, healthy, and sustainable way to explore your neighborhood with family and friends!

However you get around Monrovia, look out for your neighbors and “bear” in mind…

Neighbors riding bikes are vulnerable:
👀 Travel with Care – Look out for your neighbors, especially, children, the elderly and other vulnerable streets users.

🚗 Slow Your Roll – Slower speeds help keep everyone safe. Collisions caused by vehicles traveling at 40 mph are much more likely to cause serious injuries than at 20 mph.

🚦 Follow the Law – Be neighborly and obey all traffic signs and signals.

When riding your bike:
👷 Protect yourself – Wear a helmet. For riders and passengers under the age of 18, it’s the law.

⬆️ Go With the Flow – Ride in the same direction as traffic.

🚴 Take the Lane – Ride predictably, ride straight and avoid weaving in between parked cars – it’s legal to take the lane; just be sure to stay outside of the door zone.
