Relive Our Route 66 Centennial Celebration!

On May 3, the Monrovia Historical Museum and Friends brought the spirit of the Mother Road to Recreation Park for a very special Route 66 Centennial Celebration. The day featured classic cars and vintage trailers, live music and performances, food, family activities, and plenty of Route 66 nostalgia—all made possible by an incredible group of community partners, volunteers and friends.

News flash! Next Thursday, April 30th, an event of historic proportions will happen at the Monrovia Historical Museum at Recreation Park. Come in and see the Grand Opening of the Engines of Change exhibit! It’s all about the trains, planes, and automobiles in Monrovia’s history. Included is a unique display on Route 66. Hours for the opening are 4pm to 6pm. Donuts, ice cream, and music will be there. We’re at 742 East Lemon Avenue. See you there!

Amazing things are happening in Monrovia at Recreation Park! April 30th: See the grand opening celebration of our new exhibit “Engines of Change,” including a special Route 66 exhibit. 4pm to 6pm. Ice cream, donuts, and a live band!
May 3rd: Join the Community Celebration at Recreation Park. 9am to 3pm. See the vintage car show, enjoy live music, entertainment, and more! We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Route 66. Join us!

It’s Saturday morning at the museum! We are open for the Monrovia Spring Egg Hunt in Recreation Park. Bring the family, plenty of nice things to do, including the egg hunt contests. We’re here too, so feel free to come in for a visit.
