Hard work continues! Yesterday the members continued with day 2 of renovating the Monson Bellmen. This consisted of filling holes, sanding, prepping and applying two coats of paint to the walls in the solo bay.

The first two photos are a before and after. You can see the difference in how much a couple coats of paint can truly brighten the place up.

Again, a huge thank you to John's Paint Store for the supplies. We couldn’t have done it without their generous support and donation.

Today members of the association came together to start the long needed face lift for The Monson Bellmen Museum. The goals of the museum is to remove all items from the walls, give the building a good cleaning, patch/ repair any holes and apply a fresh coat of paint, so we can then redisplay the historical items. We plan to have open houses in the near future to allow the citizens and public to come view and learn about the history of the Monson Fire Department as well as firefighting in general.

We often have a difficult time finding some street numbers because they are poorly marked or not at all. At the time of an emergency is not the time to search for house numbers. For only 20 dollars you can obtain a high visibility red reflective street number sign installed by the fire department (Monson residents only). Call Celeste at 267-3132 for more information.
