On Monday night, City Council officially approved Tammy Jenkins as the Associate Judge for the Municipal Court of the City of Mont Belvieu! Judge Jenkins took both the Oath of Office and Anti-Bribery Oath during the meeting, marking the beginning of this exciting new chapter.

The suspect is in custody. After an extensive foot and K9 search, the male was taken into custody near I-10 and SH 99. Special thanks to CCSO, DPS, Baytown PD K9 for the quick response and coordination. All schools have been updated.

The suspect was determined to have outstanding felony warrants out of Polk County. More info on that as it is confirmed.

Heavy law enforcement presence is being reported in the area of SH 99 and I-10. Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, DPS, and Mont Belvieu Police Department are searching for a male suspect who reportedly fled the scene of a crash on the south side of I-10.

The suspect was last seen running into the woods on the west side of 99, between I-10 & Langston.

Schools in the area have been notified. At this time, to our knowledge, schools have not been placed on lockdown.

Please avoid the area if possible, use caution, and do not approach or attempt to locate the suspect. Follow official law enforcement updates for the most current information. Updates will be posted as we receive them.
