The Mont Vernon Village School students return for their first day on September 1st, along with the rest of the schools in SAU 39. Some important things to remember: stay alert for children walking near roadways and crossing streets; stop for school busses as required; obey speed limits, especially through school zones; and definitely don't text while driving. Help us help them get to and from school safely.

Mutual aid in our fire firefighting community is critical. Whether your department is full time, part time, call or all volunteer or a mix, we need each other. That makes training together extremely important.

Thank you to the New Boston Fire Department
for participating in a water supply drill we had recently. Many of our towns don’t have pressurized hydrants everywhere (or anywhere) so we have to truck or move our water to the scene.

We will be selling pizza for the movie! 🍕

All proceeds go to the Mont Vernon Fire Department Association to support your local firefighters!

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! Come to the Town Green to watch "JURASSIC PARK." The Heritage Commission will have candy, popcorn and soda for sale, and the Fire Dept will be selling pizza. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Movie will start around 7:30, or when we deem it dark enough. Come join the fun!
