It’s been a busy couple of weeks, two weeks in and we are halfway through calving already with 24 calves on the ground‼️ 13 bull calves and 11 heifers. The weather has been terrible so I’ll update with pictures when I can.
Our first two lambs made their appearance, on time and healthy.

It’s really is the best time of the year!
Today was very windy but warm compared to the beginning of the month. Another bull calf down!

I had plans to post about spring and throw out a “can you guess whether we will have a lamb or a calf hit the ground first” since they are both due this next week. But God had other plans and we started off calving season with a bang. Happy Saturday folks! One bull calf down, 40+ to go! I’m sure the sheep will follow suit shortly.

We took quite the drive yesterday, meet “Penny” (short for Pennywise), and our new ram “Kevin.” It’s quite an adventure we are going on. 😂 Pretty impressed with this puppy so far and it hasn’t been 24 hours yet. Thank you Emsoff Livestock Company.

ISO: A young, preferably recently weaned but will consider something older, medium sized donkey to keep with sheep as a livestock guardian. Please let me know if you or anyone you know has something that may be a good fit.
