Congratulations to our newest Muskegon County Fire Academy graduates: Maddison Balon, Kaylan Easton, and Kendal Degen.
The Montague Fire District is incredibly proud of these three firefighters for successfully completing the Muskegon County Fire Academy.
Through a combination of coursework, classroom instruction, hands-on training, and practical skill development, they dedicated countless hours to advancing their knowledge and preparing to serve our community.
Their commitment represents an important investment in both their future and the future of our department. We look forward to watching them continue to grow as firefighters and serve the residents of the Montague Fire District.

Montague Fire District was proud to join the RRO Oehrli School End-of-Year Celebration! Captain Degen helped fill the dunk tank as students took turns dunking School Resource Officer Dice and Deputy Slamka. Students also enjoyed touring our fire truck and learning about the fire service. It was a wonderful day spent with some amazing kids. Have a safe and fun summer!
