IT'S NATIONAL NONPROFIT DAY! Today we recognize the essential contributions of nonprofit organizations and the people who support them. This date marks the signing of the Tariff Act of 1894, which introduced federal tax exemptions for nonprofit and charitable institutions. Thank you, South Mountain YMCA, NJ and Metropolitan YMCA of The Oranges!

We were honored to officially receive the $5,000 Ellie & Charlie Gianni Community Impact Grant from the today.

This generous support, made possible through proceeds from the YMCA's annual Duck Race, will help Family Promise of Essex County continue providing housing support, social services, and pathways to lasting stability for families experiencing homelessness.

Special thanks to District Executive Director, James Goodger, and the entire South Mountain YMCA team for your partnership and for investing in stronger futures for families throughout Essex County. We are truly grateful!
