Brother to Brother

Brother to Brother We are a mentoring program created to meet the needs of 4th-12th grade males by providing an atmosphere where they can develop academically and socially.

Brother to Brother is a 501(c)3 non-profit mentoring program servicing all Essex County male middle and high-school aged adolescents ranging from the 6th through the 12th grades. Brother to Brother was founded in 2007, fully staffed with adult community volunteers. That tradition remains today. Men and women over the years have graciously offered their time, skills, and life experience to positive

ly impact the lives of these endangered young men. We represent the community’s desire to assist in the overall improvement of the quality of life for these kids. Through group discussions, which requires active listening, Brother to Brother activities support young men by helping them understand why they should avoid risky behaviors like smoking, poor diet, lethargy, casual sexual activity, bullying, or experimenting with drugs and alcohol. Our program has always collaborated with all manner of school officials including teachers, guidance counselors, and principals, along with other local community academic and social support groups.
