Dear Community:
We are very excited to host our annual pancake breakfast at the firehouse on May 25, 2025, it is our favorite event to open the firehouse and spend time with all of you.
To continue with our community appreciation, we will again be serving breakfast at the firehouse at no charge. We will accept your donations as always, and they are greatly appreciated; along with merchandise and mimosas for sale. Our grand prize raffle this year is a two night (Friday and Saturday) stay at Negris Lodge with $100 gift certificate for dinner at Negris; tickets are $5 each and included with your letter, need not be present to win. This prize includes all taxes for the room, any incidentals will be paid for by the winner.
The Camp Meeker Volunteer Auxiliary (CMVA) is here to support keeping local emergency response services in Camp Meeker. We are responsible for the maintenance of the Camp Meeker station as well as any future plans to improve the station. We also provide equipment and supplies for firefighter needs in addition to what Gold Ridge Fire Protection District provides. We appreciate any support you can provide.
During 2024 our station responded to 55 calls; which included the following breakdown:
Medical Aids-21
Storm related- 17
Vehicle accident- 4
Alarm- 3
Structure fire- 2
Vegetation fire- 2
Miscellaneous- 5
If anyone has any questions regarding the changes that have transpired with the department, we welcome your emails and phone calls; or please feel free to join a board meeting at the firehouse. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you for breakfast.
