Please be advised that Grundy County is having phone issues at this time the problem arose around 230am this date. Benlomand is aware of the problem and is working feverishly on trying to solve and eliminate it. 911 does work so if it is urgent and an emergency please continue to call 911 . As of this time it's showing that AT&T and VERIZON is also affected. Please if need still call 911 thank you all for your patience in this matter!

Grundy E911 is accepting applications for a full time position!!!! If interested come by fill out application and let's talk. Requirements High school diploma/GED, valid driver's license, no felony arrest, be able to answer a phone ,take notes ,type , fax, multi task, read a map, and a want to help people when they call for help. No medical advice given on ambulance calls other than the mandated telecommunicator CPR . You can make a career out of this opportunity. If young and are fixing to graduate and have no clue as to what you could be interested in doing but love adrenalin rush... it's right here... then of course if your older and don't want the burden of having to stand for long periods, lift heavy items ,and manual monotonous labor ... it's right here we got a job for you young, middle-aged ,or seasoned old . Come be part of our Dispatch family our lines and doors are always opened to all the citizens in need in the counties we serve.

It’s with a heavy heart that I make this post. Through lots of prayers and thinking I have decided to leave Grundy E911 for an awesome opportunity that I can not pass up. I have dispatched for this county since 1994 and I have loved and hated this job multiple times but I’m blessed to have helped all the people that I have. I was hoping to be able to stay part time but the powers that be I’m afraid I am not going to be allowed to.. it’s been my honor to get to know all my coworkers and all the deputies and officers as well as all the citizens that I have got to know through this 911 job. So if you all wouldn’t mind keep me in your prayers as I make this change for the better🙏🙏🥰😢
