Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP) provide high quality educational and recreational programs for children and youth. Teams of caring, knowledgeable professionals plan developmentally appropriate programs that are responsive to the unique needs, abilities, and interests of children. Our staff fosters a sense of independence, trust and responsibility within each child through understanding and res

pectful interactions. Likewise, through positive relationships, our programs respect and support the ideals, cultures, and values of families in their task of nurturing children and youth. We are advocates for children, families, and the child and youth professionals within our programs and surrounding communities.

Reservations for the free Parents' Night Out to be held Saturday, February 9th will begin on Tuesday, January 8th. Reservations will be open from 7:00 am at the Tech Connection. Reservations must be made in person and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Parents' Night Out will now be held Quarterly. Special Openings are possible on a pay as you go basis. Send Theresa an e-mail if you would like additional information. You are also welcome to post questions here.

Just a reminder that NSA Monterey Child and Youth Programs will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd in observance of Thanksgiving and also on Friday, November 23rd. Our programs will re-open on Monday, November 26th.

Congratulations to all of our soccer players for another successful season! It has been so much fun to come out and watch some of the games! Thanks to all of the parents who encourage and support their children and a special thanks to those volunteer coaches and assistant coaches! We can't do it without our volunteer coaches. Don't forget that basketball starts soon! Have you registered your son or daughter?

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and we want to remind our CDC and SAC/Youth families that the Child and Youth Programs are closed on Thanksgiving Day and also the day after; November 22 and 23rd are closure days for CYP Monterey. Billing for November 15th has been adjusted accordingly.

Just a reminder that the Child and Youth Programs at NSA Monterey will be closed on Monday, November 12, in honor of Veteran's Day. For those of you who serve, and your families that also serve, we thank you. See you Tuesday.

If you are interested in participating in this activity, please e-mail us or send a Facebook message. The next Parent Involvement Board meeting is scheduled for this coming Friday at noon at the Tech Connection.

Just a reminder that all paperwork for the FY 13 Fee Implementation is due to your child's program no later than October 19th! If we don't have your updated Total Family Income, you will be placed in the highest fee category until we receive your updated information. After we receive your updated information, your new fees will take effect 1 November or the next billing date after your submission. For example, you turn in your updated Total Family Income on 2 November 2012. You will be charged the highest fee category on 1 November and the updated fee category will take effect on 15 November.

Basketball registration begins October 15 - November 30, 2012 for ages 5-13 (must be 5 by January 1, 2013) at the Tech Connection. Cost is $45 per child. Program requirements are a current sports registration form, CYP registration card, and sports physical valid through season. Volunteer coaches are always needed and welcomed. Coaches meeting will be December 13 & 14 at the Tech Connection from 5 pm to 7 pm.
