Pictured from left, Stephen Poteet, of Putnam Parks and Recreation is staying the joints in between the stones at the Standing Stone Monument, in Monterey blood-red as it was when moved to its current site in Oct., 1895. Monterey cultural administrator Julie Bohannon and Putnam Parks and Recreation assistant director Justin Hilliard look on.
In the last few weeks, the Standing Stone monument has been power washed. Thanks to Putnam County Executive Randy Porter, more work at the site will be done including widening the sidwakk around the stone and adding seating.
