Monterey Recreation is excited to announce their 5th Annual Bunny Hop Photo Op on Saturday, March 28. There will be plenty of EGGStra Fun!, Spring plush animals and our favorite bunny friend will be here if you would like to take your own picture. It will be decked out for the perfect photo op plus we have face painting, the MyMuseum Wheelie Mobilee and more. Please note this is not an egg hunt.

Bunny Hop Photo Op is by appointment only. The photo op will happen rain or shine. We will make adjustments for inclement weather. For those who participated in 2025, the photo op/backdrop will be updated but our Bunny friend will remain the same.

Fee of $10 per child includes two dozen pre-filled eggs, a plush toy, and a photo opportunity with Peter Cottontail! Registration is required in advance. Register at monterey.gov/rec

This new class is being taught by the fantastic Johanna Keefe!! Capture the incredible creativity and joy of your child with a fantastic workshop in the fine art of ceramics. Our little artists get messy and have fun sculpting a one-of-a-kind mythical being coming straight from their imaginations, through their hands, and into the clay. Our dedicated arts instructor will help our students to express their vision with patience, skill, and kindness, fostering a space full of creativity and wonder. This two-class workshop will allow the students the time to sculpt their artworks in one three-hour class. Those pieces will be carefully dried, and bisque fired so that the students may color and glaze the artworks during next week’s three-hour class. All pieces will then be fired again in a final glaze firing and will be available for pick up the following week. Visit monterey.gov/rec to register!!
