The University of Montevallo’s Department of Public Safety is committed to keeping the campus safe and sound. The University provides a full service Public Safety Agency 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we’re committed to maintaining an atmosphere on campus where students feel comfortable. The University of Montevallo will be open and return to normal operations Wednesday, June 3.

Due to power outages and debris on campus and in the Montevallo community from storms earlier this afternoon, UM will be closed on Tuesday, June 2. No classes or extracurricular activities will be held while the University is closed.

Make sure to monitor local media for updates on weather conditions and take appropriate actions. Students, faculty and staff should exercise caution when traveling and use their best discretion about the decision to travel to and from campus.
