I have lived with my family in Montevallo for close to four years, during which time I have served as Chair of ValloCycle as well as a city delegate for Main Street Alabama. My daughter is an honor student at MHS, Vice President of Montevallo Junior City Council, and a Marching Troubadour. My son was an honor student at MES and is eager to rise into sixth grade at MMS. My wife, Meg, works at EBSCO

Industries. We have a German Shepherd named Maya, two cats: Kibbles and Polka, and three fish. Several years ago, Meg and I made a conscious decision to adjust our lifestyle. For fifteen years, I ran my own renovation business, successfully building a customer base through word of mouth and repeat business. Now, I am fortunate to run the business of a home, with a focus on my children and my community. I love Montevallo. District 3 is a wonderful mix of people, professions, ages, backgrounds, income levels, and businesses. I want to hear ALL of your voices. I want to participate, with ALL of you, in our local democracy, for it is the roots of community that grow a strong and healthy world. Lee Waites
