Yesterday we spent the day at Montezuma Community Schools for Ag Safety Day, discussing critical safety measures including smoke detectors, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and 911 emergency procedures. Demonstrations of vehicle extraction tools and grain bin rescue equipment were also provided. Students from K-8th grade attended 15 different stations. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach hosted this event, and we are grateful for the opportunity to participate.

💛 National Telecommunications Appreciation Week 💛

This week, we recognize and thank our unseen first responders. Our 911 Dispatchers.

They are the voice in the dark, the calm in the chaos, and the lifeline when every second counts. Their strength, quick thinking, and dedication save lives and support both the public and first responders every single day.

From every call answered to every life touched, thank you for being the connection that holds it all together.

Four members from our team participated in the Fight for Air stair climb event hosted by the American Lung Association in Des Moines. Firefighters participating in the event climbed 79 floors (1,656 steps) while wearing full fire gear. We extend our gratitude to those who donated to our team, supporting the fight against lung disease. We also appreciate the enthusiastic support we received from our cheering section.
